Day 314 Googolplex

Today, I learned about the number ‘googol’. That’s ‘1’ followed by one hundred zeros, which would be easy(ish) to write out.

Follow that so far?

Good.

Now, imagine ‘1’ followed by a googol of zeros.

Not so easy to imagine, huh? I’m not surprised, because it’s a massive number. You can’t even write it out, because even if you made each zero the size of an atom, you still wouldn’t be able to write it all out. There are 1082 atoms in the observable universe, which is way less than a googolplex of atoms. Pretty mind-blowing, right?
